First off they were very friendly and answered all my questions, but once they took my money it was an ongoing nightmare. I have called repeatedly just to get hung up on or have a representative yell over the phone to another agent. They transfer me just to get hung up on, my cost of moving has been doubled what was quoted and still trying to squeeze whatever fee they can in there. I had to reschedule my delivery date because they couldn't deliver within the first open window, which I specified at the time of my quote. I still got charged. I kept calling to get answers then one guy said that I was interrupting the inbound calls to assist new customers! I have been promised confirmations calls but never get them. I've tried emailing my original contract agent Ryan, but no response. I still don't have my stuff and I'm tired of being hung up on whenever I call. I feel like I have no choice but to contact my lawyer. Maybe then they'll act like representatives of a company that will actually assist customers who have already gave them their money! Avoid at all costs!! I will never return to them!

The first thing I will say is that if and when the Company responds to this post saying they "need more information and do not have have my order on file" as they have done with previous poor reviews, I have included the initial estimate and final pricing term sheets (signed by "employees" of the Company)

Whether or not you read the rest of my review, the key takeaway is that this is a criminal organization that you should not utilize under any circumstances. If you use the services of this pathetic excuse for a legitimate business, there is a high probability that: 1.) You will pay a much higher price than initially quoted
2.) Your items will not be delivered on time
3.) Some of your items will be missing / damaged
4.) The movers will be outsourced (not official TW employees)
5.) Customer service reps (even managers) will dodge your calls and be impossible to reach

I spoke with a Trans World sales representative out of CO named Raymond Miller who quoted me $1,500 for a move of the following items from Dallas, TX to Los Angeles, CA: 1 queen bed, 1 high top dining table, 1 3-seat sofa, 1 night stand, 1 TV, 1 TV stand, 2 high chairs, and 10 18x18x18 boxes (which is a general estimate used as box sizes vary) for a total of 261 cubic ft at $4.25 / cubic ft squared of space + $641 for additional est. costs.

The movers arrived on 11/17. When asked, they admitted that they did not work for the Company, but were "agents" that took the job (I do not recall his name and cannot read it on the contract, but it started with a W and he was a greasy mobster from Miami that "served in the armed forces and spoke 7 languages"). What the Company does as part of this whole scheme is have the packers start packing your items (boxing / wrapping) before the head mover gives you the final price so that you are already 1 foot in the door when they reveal the inflated "new professional on-site" estimate. Without a tape measure, he was able to "exactly calculate" that I had an additional 100 cubic ft. despite having the EXACT amount of goods as provided in the estimate which resulted in a new price of $2,408.74 (a 60.6% increase from the initial estimate provided by the all reliable Raymond). After receiving this information, I asked the mover to get the dispatcher on the phone to explain to me how an initial estimate could be off by as much 60%. The dispatcher was in fact his girlfriend (he told me this - a woman named Vicky), thus any argument going forward was a lost cause. When I called the Company number and asked for Raymond after expressing my frustration to the employee that answered, I was put on hold and could not get a hold of Raymond or anyone else at the company for the next 48 hours.

Given I had no other options and needed to have my stuff moved in 2 weeks for a new employment opportunity (which did not even happen), I had to let this criminal take my stuff, but was confident that I would be able to prove to the company through picture evidence / proof of documentation that I was being scammed by this pathetic human being.

For the next week, it was impossible to get a hold of Raymond or anyone else at the Company until I used a different phone number and when I finally did get through, it was often the case where I was put on hold and then dropped because the employees of this organization have zero integrity. Once I finally got a hold of one of the mangers (Walter), his best response to my inquiry was "this is how our industry operates."

My items were GUARANTEED to be delivered on 11/28 as I was starting a new occupation on 12/4 in LA. On 12/2 - two days before the expected arrival of my items - the dispatcher (Vicky - mover's girlfriend) called me and said that my move would arrive in 5 days (keep in mind I was starting work on 12/4 and had no cloths and no bed as all was in the truck). Despite my best efforts to explain my situation, she said to contact the mover as it was "no longer in her control" - there is no accountability in this organization. While I was not pleased with this, as long as my items were scheduled to be delivered before I started work and in one piece, it wouldn't be the end of the world and life goes on..

When I called the driver (Amnon), another criminal who would not say the name of the firm for which he was employed, he insisted that my items would not be delivered for at least a week and that there was nothing he or I could do about it. My items came on 12/4 (6 days after the guaranteed delivery date). Given it was my first day of work at a new firm, I could not be there and had to have my roommate sign and pay when the items were delivered. The mover (Amnon), refused to unpack my items / put together a few of the bulky items (bed frame and table) as was GUARANTEED per my contract. He did not even give my roommate a chance to inspect the items before he was off and away in his truck. Upon inspection once he left, my table was gashed (likely done purposely), box spring torn apart, and bed frame was missing (I have picture evidence of all). I called Amnon a handful of times after this to ask about my bed frame and he has not picked up his phone to this day (I will keep calling).

I filed a claim with the Company and when I called to follow up on my claim (again it takes calling from a different number to get an employee on the phone), they indicated it would take up to 4 months and that Walter (manager of the Company, NOT an outside insurance representative) would be responsible for handling my claim. This was extremely frustrating and I asked why he could not simply call the driver to find out where my bed frame was, but he explained this was a "formal process" (these guys aren't too sharp). I will call the Company every week for the next 4 months and beyond until this claim is settled.

Again, these are uneducated criminals with zero integrity, class, and accountability conducting fraudulent business practices. This Company will likely go bankrupt given I am unfortunately one of many that have been scammed (shame on me) through the fake positive reviews provided on the first page of this website and many others. They have an F rating through the Better Business Bureau for these unethical practices.

The individuals I interacted with were as follows (they don't give first names for obvious reasons despite them asking your every detail when you desire to speak to customer service):

- Walter (some sort of manager out of CO office)
- Raymond Miller (Customer Service Representative out of CO office)
- Vicky (dispatcher for a Company not part of Trans World -txmovingservices@gmail.com - 972-994-6306)
- Amnon (mover who delivered my stuff from TX to CA - not employed by Trans World - 307-267-2167)

Please spread the word. These a criminals.

Move size: Studio Service cost: $2409

Pickup Date 12/30/17 - Delivery Date 5/18/18

This company is not a moving company. They brokered my move. They picked up late and delivered 75 business days, excluding holidays, after the first available delivery date. This means they delivered 45 business days, excluding holidays, after their contract allowed. DOT regulations only allow 21 business days, excluding holidays, to deliver after the first available pickup date. Their contract gave them 30 business days, excluding holidays, to deliver after the first available delivery date. Upon delivery, they still requested full price to be paid. Every box with a fragile label on it was crushed, dented, water damaged, or ripped. Very little care was taken of my stuff. Many damaged or broken household items. They were not professionals at packing a truck. They didn't give even close to an accurate estimate, so I was forced to leave behind my couch, washer, and dryer. Also during delivery, the company they hired to deliver my stuff hired a guy off of Craigslist to unload my items into my house. I didn't pay $2,900 to have some random sketchy guy be in my house. Transworld Van Lines Inc never made me a priority, and in fact, multiple times told me other customers were more important than me.

Through this ridiculously long process, I started looking into this company. Well, I found out the Englewood, CO address listed as their headquarters is a false address. According to the Englewood Police Department, it's not even a possible address in their city. They also informed me that Transworld Van Lines Inc used to run out of a warehouse on that street, but they were run out of town for scamming people. I filed multiple complaints with the DOT which in part led to the Feds investigating Transworld Van Lines Inc. In fact, they have been told to cease operations according to the DOT employing I talked to about this. The DOT has pulled Transworld Van Lines Inc's DOT number.

I'm writing this review so that no one else has to go through a similar headache as I have gone through over the past 5 months. This company is not worth your time or money.

Don't believe all the fake cut and paste 5 star reviews this company has.

I'll keep this rant short, they lied about sub contracting the job. Out of the 5 people I was in contact with on the move, I couldn't tell you who worked for what company.

One positive thing is they actually did come on time, however the people who delivered our belongings, weren't from Transworld at all. However, everything that came off the truck was damage; literally everything. If I were to replace everything they broke it would have exceeded 10k.

The kicker once you start the claims process is a joke, you're ignored forms get lost, and there is absolutely no communication from the company unless you constantly keep after them. I opened up a BBB complaint, the lady who was supposed to be in charge of this lost a form, never followed up and I have no idea what the status is 6 months later.

So I moved from New York down to florida and love everything about it down here. The weather, Miami, and the cars! I called these guys up because I was referred by a friend and he told me that these were the guys to go through. So they came on time and brought materials to help me pack. They loaded everything on a truck and that was that. I flew down to Florida and a day and half later I got a phone call saying my stuff will be at my house in an hour. I trusted my friends word and he was right.

Service cost: $2300

I recently moved down to Florida from my hometown in Pittsburgh. I worked in IT but wanted a change of scenery. So I got involved with people who do business in Florida and got set up with working on the beach at a scuba diving shoo! I love it! I called these guys up and I had a lot of stuff for my one bedroom place so I had them put some of the things in storage for the next 4 months and they said that would take 4 days to come and drop it off. the same guy who came and picked up in Pittsburgh and was the one who dropped my stuff off in Florida. I like the service I got and would recommend to any of my fellow friends and family out of Pittsburgh.

Trans World van lines did such a great job on my move I am very please with the full packing service and promptness with picking our move up at such short notice this wasn't my first move and I had bad experiences in the past I'm so happy that I found a reparable honest moving company that is not a broker thank you so much sincerely from my family. We will always recommend your company to anyone. The driver showed up with the movers all in full uniform, ready to move us. Boxes and everything. Bubble wrapped all of my glass, tv's, and glass. I am happy to finally have a real mover in my life.

Best of the best! I couldn't believe how good of a job this company did. I appreciate the service they provided me with. The movers were motivated and did a fantastic job. Overall, I would rate this company more than 5 stars if I could. Both my husband and I were extremely impressed with the movers professionalism and will definitely use this company again next time we move. One of my friends told me about Trans world van lines when I was looking for a reliable mover. So, I called and talked with their manager. He introduced me with the sales rep who was very keen to know my requirements and was quick to complete the paper work. My move was scheduled nicely and the movers arrived on time at the move day. They were very careful while packing the delicate stuffs and extremely innovative till the delivery. They made the delivery within the allotted time, did not damage anything and charged within the estimated amount but refused to setup the furniture at the new house because that was not mentioned on the contract. Well I can understand they had the rights to refuse for the extra help but sometimes it is good not to be very professional. I would use them again.

I used them recently on a move from Michigan to Washington state and what a nightmare. 2 days late picking my stuff up and make sure you know that FAD stands for "First Available Delivery Date" and does not mean when you'll get your stuff. This resulted in my stuff being 3 weeks late, after I already started a new job. No communication. Grossly incompetent. This company is the worst. Please contact me for me info. I'd love to tell you how terrible they are.

I’ve never had to do a big move and I was pretty nervous about the whole thing, packing, cost and having someone take my beloved household belongings, on top of all the other changes that comes with a move. Im really happy with the service I got from Trans World Van Lines, Inc. the price was nice, and the scheduling/booking was a breeze and they helped things make sense to me, someone who never had to deal with this before. Everything arrived in Idaho on time and in good shape. So helpful! Such a relief as a nice way to start out successfully in our new home.

This has been a great experience! My family was moving out of state and my husband was stressed about getting it all done in a timely manner. I found this company and they made it seamless for us. They were very professional and easy to work with. We had everything moved and are now settled in to our new home before Christmas thanks to Trans World Van Lines! My husband and I hired Trans World to relocate our family from NJ to CT due to a career change. After vetting dozens of companies, TW provided us with the very best pricing and customer service. We had originally spoken to another company, but they were very picky about the volume of our move and also refused to move our 300lb elliptical even after disassembly. TW never said no to any of our requests and were more than accommodating. They removed several railings and the front door to ensure no damage would occur when maneuvering our bulky sectional - and put everything back in its place. I've moved several times within the past 4 years and can confidently say that TW took the best care of my belongings and made sure not to damage my floors and walls. They protected our furniture with multiple layers of padding and carefully loaded our items onto the truck by room and fragility. We had no issue with any damage and everything arrived in tact and unharmed. The guys were upbeat, friendly and prompt. I highly recommend them and plan on using them again in the future.

This was my first time having to move such a long distance. Boy did Trans World Movers really save me big time. Without them I don't know how it would have turned out. They helped every step of the way and their staff is very polite. They seemed please to answer any questions, and was very straight-forward and honest. The price was actually a lot lower then I would of expected for such a long move. Everything was moved safely, on time, and completely undamaged.

I fully recommend them to anyone that is moving state to state. Great job!

Trans World Van Lines was incredible to work with. From start to finish I was extremely pleased. We were moving from San Antonio, TX to Cincinnati, OH and the weather in the Midwest was rough but they truly did not mind. Their customer service was great, and everyone on the staff was polite!

I hope we do not have to relocate again for work but if we do I most definitely will be calling Trans World Van Lines. I would suggest that you do too! Work has taken me to several different places and working with movers can be stressful. With that being said writing this review was necceary because anyone looking to move should use them to have that stress put at ease!

I had never used a moving service as usually I moved my stuff on my pickup truck, but for a super long move, especially with heavy furnitures to move, it was too much for me. I am just happy I picked Trans World Van Lines. Their service was very good from the first phone call, their representative Andrew was very helpful and walked me through the whole process without any hassle. He even gave me an excellent price.
They were on time on the day of the move and Andrew was there doing every thing and instructing his men. Everyone was very polite and hard and fast workers, and when you said something is precious to us they actually took time and care to safely transfer it.
All in all, I did not have to worry about any thing they were on schedule for everything. Thank you Trans-world as it means a lot.
